Workout of the week #1: squat + chin-up

Take on our Men’s Fitness workout of the week, a new 52-part series to keep you inspired and challenged for 2015. We’ll post a new workout every Friday and for an added incentive, we’ll take on the workout too so you can see how your best time compares with a member of the MF team.

The first in the WOW series combines the classics: back squat and chin-up. Complete three rounds as fast as you can.

Round 1: 50kg back squat + chin-up – 20 reps each

Round 2: 50kg back squat + chin-up – 15 reps each

Round 3: 50kg back squat + chin-up – 10 reps each

Watch the video for the form guides, take a deep breath and then time yourself from the first rep to the last as you give our first WOW your best shot. Post your best time in the comment’s section below.
