In this video MF’s Nick takes on the fearsome MAX TIN challenge.
MAX TIN
10 back squat
5 bodyweight pull-up
10 press-up
5 bodyweight pull-up
10 deadlift
5 bodyweight pull-up
10 push press
5 bodyweight pull-up
Set the clock to a given time limit (Nick set his to an hour – ambitious). Pick a weight you think you’ll be able to stick with for the full workout (ideally 50% of your 10 rep max). Then perform as many rounds of the above as you can before the clock runs down.
You can’t change the weights mid-workout so choose them carefully. Once you’ve finished, and recovered (this may take several minutes), add up all the weight you lift cumulatively and that’s your total score. Each five reps of the pull-ups count for your bodyweight, so if you’re 80kg you’ll lift 320kg per round. Perform this challenge at most once a month to gauge your fitness level. Good luck.
