In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro is at P&P HQ. He’s telling you about something that he’s excited AND nervous about. He’s stepping down from running Pete & Pedro’s marketing.
Starting in 2013
Since its launch, Pete & Pedro has double in sales yearly. He says that he hasn’t done what needs to be done to grow an online business. It’s grown as a result of Alpha’s once a month videos and the customer loyalty.
Why Alpha’s Stepping Down
He says he has a lot going on, and as a result, P&P is just one piece of the puzzle. He never imagined that he could have a product / brand as successful as P&P. He needs help, however. That’s why he went on Shark Tank – he needs someone to grow it strategically. He’s good at driving a message but is bad at the minutia of marketing a business.
Who’s Stepping Up?
Alpha has been friends with Mike Levy from the Grooming Lounge who’s been running it for the last 10 years. The Grooming Lounge was Alpha’s first sponsor years ago, and Mike & Alpha have always stayed in touch. Mike was ready for a change & challenge, and a while ago, he met with Alpha about letting him take over Alpha’s position for P&P. Alpha is bring him on-board and is tossing the marketing keys to him. Mike will be strategically driving P&P’s marketing while Alpha will still have an input with product development.
Change Is Scary
It’s scary because Mike’s expensive. But if Mike can dive & dig into P&P and do the little things that Alpha sucked it, Alpha is excited to see where P&P will go. Alpha will still own the company, but he’s letting someone come into do the things he ‘sucked’ at. He wants to take the business to next level and let himself get out of the way.
